Back to the Drawing Board

So I haven't been running :(  so busy!
And today I really felt the need to run, but I it was raining :(

Well my weight it up and I have been busy stressed I think for about a week!  Everything is getting back to normal so that's good.

I'm back on taking my Tamoxifen everyday!  I'm getting it!  Today I think I may have my monthly.  I've been having a few hot flashes, but they are always worse when I forget my Tamoxifen and then start it again.  I knew my weight was going to be up so I was a little down about it, but sometimes in life other things are important.  I just wanted to make the most of this day even if my weight was up.  I have been having too many up and down days- not that they were all bad just up and down.

When I feel like being a baby and easing back into life I grab a scarf and go

How about a random look around my drive...

I know it was raining, but you still have to love the colorful trees!!!  Sometimes a rainy day is a day to mope around slowly do what you're suppose to do.

This morning I listened to one of my favorite stations and drank my water.  I also keep chapstick/lip gloss in my car.  Lately I've been using the HEMP gloss.

And there's my shades- resting

I absolutely love scarfs!!!  I love them.  I love this one I got in the city a couple of years ago!  It's such a pretty pink.....makes me feel pretty- not sure why.

And what do we have here????  Well besides my cds and church envelopes I have my absolutes.
I always keep perfume, mascara, and a lip color in my car just in case.

These change from time to time.  When I have a perfume I no longer wear I usually move it to my car.  Also when my mascara gets a little old it also gets moved to my car.  The lip color I'm using lately is BabyLips by Maybelline- in Cherry Pie.  It adds just enough color and it keeps my lips soft.  It's so funny because the other night I was running, running and was on my
way out the door to Open House and forgot my perfume so I was so glad to have this perfume in the car.  I hadn't worn it in so long!  When I got home Rob was smelling my clothes asking me if I was wearing perfume at the Open House.  We had taken separate cars.  He really like it....lol.  It's so old I don't even know if they still sell it.  It's Ryder by Hollister.  Weird I know!

And speaking of lips- WetNWild was Buy One Get One Free this week at CVS.  Their Mega Last Lipsticks are really pretty nice.  At 1.99 each you can get 2 lipsticks for little over $2!!!  They are suppose to last 4 hours and they are really pigmented.  2 that I recently purchased are Mauve Outta Here and Cherry Bomb.  The Mauve is really pretty bright and I love it.  The Cherry Bomb is a nice deep color that I hope to wear for Halloween!!!

Mauve Outta Here- Cherry Bomb
I forget what number these guys are - I just know this line is the 900s.
Also they have a really nice pale pink lipstick if you need one.  It is Think Pink 901b!  I absolutely love this pale pink with Rimmel lipliner in Addiction.  They are pretty matte, and it you find them drying you can just add a gloss on top.  I even add my Baby Lips on top of some.  I have Baby Lips in Peach and it is so Yummy smelling!!!!

And if you want a neutral nude lip they have 902c Bare it All.  On me it's not too nice- I think if you have blue eyes this color might look better on you.  BRATS!  :)
I actually love the Think Pink 901b so it's OK.

Motivation......get's ya there!

So I get easily board/tired of working out just like I guess we all do?
So - What do I do?

I look to music, try new gym gear, sprays my gym bag with a perfume I wish I owned (I know this is a little weird, but a happy nose is a motivated nose in my case), and watching some YouTube!

I love sporting goods commercials and I also love music videos- I love that I can have YouTube on my cell phone so when my alarm goes off (which is on my cell) I grab the phone and head to the bathroom- play the video and get myself ready to GO!
Lately my FAVORITE is Under Armour- No Matter What. Sweat. Every. Day.

This post is dedicated to my girl AMY who always inspires me to GO! I love you girly

Don't forget turn off the music below :)

Getting Organized ~ Hair

So as I'm trying to get it together I've come across a few hair items I think make my life a little simpler and save me some time.

Well 1st off is a shower cap.  I purchased mine right at CVS, but there are all kind.  I seen one on Amazon created by the new york blow dry bar for like $18.  That's high compared to what I paid, but I believe it is terry on the inside.  Sometimes when I wear mine I feel like an old lady.  And the blow dry bar are the experts on keeping your blow out.  Check out their site:

Oh and if you have a daughter with long hair- there have to be times you would love her to just shower and skip the whole hair thing~ how cute is this cap.  I believe you can get it on Amazon for something like $4.99.

The next thing I'm loving is my Turbie Twist
I purchased mine at CVS, but I seem this two pack on Amazon for around $10.99.  Two might be nice so that when one is in the wash you aren't without.  I have been washing my hair sometimes the night before and it really does help to get a lot of the moisture out so I'm not going to bed with a wet head.

Now I still like my baby powder for a dry shampoo when I don't shampoo my hair, but I'm loving this got2b Powderful
It give such great lift to your hair- it's awesome!  I bought mine at Ulta, but I've seen it in the drugstore as well.  It isn't meant to be a dry shampoo- you can use it after you get done shampooing and blow drying and it will give you great lift at the roots!!!  I have used it at times instead of the baby powder.

Another thing that helps with time saving is the classic bun~ I will always love the bun from my days of dance lessons~ I love a classic bun.

Read more about these celeb buns at MORE
They consider it the ultimate anti-aging hairstyle

Head over to Elle and check out the top hairstyles for fall

OR if all else fails put a hat on it....OR one of these....I'm digging them

Cheers

Do you ever feel like you'll never get it right?

Oh I DO! and this post took me like 3 days to complete and a bunch of not knowing what I was doing...lol.

Fall around here is quickly turning to winter-like weather.  What happened to Indian Summer?
I was loving all these boho looking sweaters on Swell's website

I had finally finished all my Fall/Winter shopping and I fell in love with some things I bought!

A couple of things I'm really loving that I got were from Target
I love these boots- I need a high heeled boot to wear with my longer jeans and I LOVE this pair!

And I really love this sweater by Billabong from Swell- I originally seen it in PacSun

My second pair of boots I love are these:
I also love this sweater- it is SO soft and the pattern is pretty flattering.  I wish they had an XS because the small seems to run a little big.

Why do I feel like I'll never get it right?
I've been trying really hard or somewhat hard at getting better organized as to have a decent schedule in place so I don't feel like I'm doing everything off the cuff, BUT I just can't see to get it together.  The only thing I have accomplished was setting up my clothing for a week so that has been fun and helpful, BUT I'm still struggling with all my other chores/jobs/tasks/ LIFE!  I feel like I get one thing straightened out to only find out another area is totally out of wack!  UGH!

This time of year and this month is sometimes hard.  I've gotten a bit run down and because I've been a bit uneasy I caught a cold and now I'm having some trouble with my mastectomy-side arm.  Oh well.  All in all it's been easier for me than last year, but I still struggle.  BUT don't we all?  I know we are all dealing with stuff and yesterday I spoke to a woman who is heading to Sloan tomorrow with her husband who has lung cancer.  If he does nothing they gave him 13 months to live.  REALLY - where do they come up with 13 months?  Nobody really knows, but hearing that really hurts!  I'm hoping and praying they have more options for them at Sloan.  I know they are in good hands, but I know the pain/anxiety taking place.  Please say a little prayer for him.

This month as I sometimes feel uneasy I think about a walk I took with my mother one day when we didn't know what the outcome of my cancer would be.  She assured me I would get through whatever it was going to be and that I would be around to help others.  So this month if I was feeling down I would turn to some way to help/promote a little awareness about BC.

I got all my wigs together, combed them and packaged them up and took them to the American Cancer Society.  I felt good and sad all at the same time~  the woman there was so thankful it made me feel good.

Even just wearing my pink ribbon is something I can do to raise awareness- Everyone should be more aware!  I wish I was.  I know some are not too thrilled with all the ribbon hype- but I am grateful for all the hype that lead to new discoveries and options for us.  As much as I never wanted to know much about a pink ribbon - I've grown to truely enjoy seeing it knowing people do care and continue to fight!

My weight is up a bit at 121.3 SO I need to get working on that!!!

I really wish I could just play with clothes all day- here is one outfit I got a kick out of:

Here's a jean jacket I bought years ago- It's by the name Bitten which was a clothing line designed by Sarah Jessica Parker for a store no longer around!

I love actually having time to accessorize....I haven't worn this ring in ages.  My mom had given it to me.

So before leaving work I had to dress-down to go to Lucas' game

Add a striped scarf.............
OK the striped scarf is actually the skirt I wore during the day.....LOL.
