Tonight will be my first night back at the gym.  Tomorrow will be back to Pilates.   This week will be the start of some detox planning.  I got a lot to get going on- it almost seems too overwhelming, but I'll get it done~

New Dress

$16 Dress- I had to have- and so I have a new dress to try and fit into...

So much for being out of medium dresses- this dress is a medium and TOO tight!!!
Gee you could even see my belly button!

and NO it isn't backless- it's just that small on my
:(

I just loved the light pink color and the lace- so sweet!!
I'm really into pink and gold lately so I'd love to wear this dress with chunky gold earring or necklace!
I know I should have throw my insert in, but I tend to not wear it more than wear it.  I defineately wear it when I'm gonna be out and about- but lately I even skip it then.  :)

I updated my motivation picture~

and I'm holding at 119.6....ugh 119 stinks because it easliy goes to 120plus~

Where my peeps at?

OK- I love YouTube and I love videos of crazy things like cat's opening drawers to steal hair accessories or birds dancing to music....but I never have the talent to catch anything cool....

The other day though I was in the car with Lucas and just because I was fooling with my phone I took a quick video. It's pretty lame- but it cracks me up and it makes me smile. Lucas is getting older and now when we hang out we laugh a lot.  It's so funny when your kid "gets" the same funny things you do. My girlfriend told me about this with her son and I thought how fun AND now it happens to us. We sometimes just look at each other and know the other person is seeing the same thing and thinking the same thing.

Oh don't get me wrong he still tells me things like "Mom you're not going in there with that on" or "What's wrong with you"~ He wasn't a huge fan of my scarf....I was wearing it all different ways and so he wasn't digging it. You'll see in the little lame video clip he ends up swatting me..not nice.  I crack up over my mom asking why they are called peeps.
It's totally lame, but it's totally just what goes on parking at Maine's. I don't know why I keep laughing about it.

Enough with my lame family video

Onto Weigh-in

Wowza.....for once I hit a teen!!!!! and it wasn't named Luki....I had to say it.

I'm not sure how I managed this, because last week I was still at 122.0.  I do know this past couple of weeks I struggled - wanting to eat all day and missing exercise classes- drinking wine- and I know there is something else bad I just can't think of it.  OH forgot to take my Tamoxifen for 6 days- YIKES.  I hope that's not why I lost.  I did however pull it together this week after hooking back up with my LOVE of YouTube ladies who eat yummy food and post their favorite items and tips!!!!  When I get big I wanna be a You tube star!!!  I learn SO much.  I also love the make-up tips- these girls buy lots of make-up and report back on what's good- LOVE that!!!  I should post all my favorite YouTube Subscriptions.

Somethings that I think helped me big time this week:

Taking a 3 hour class 2 nights a week - kept me from overeating dinner and eating late.  Oh and the class has nothing to do with fitness.

Drinking lots of water- I'm obsessed with a terrible TV show were the woman is always drinking a drink and it makes me want to drink!!  I've come to love the plastic cups that come with a straw and gripper- I'm getting addicted!  When I was hungry I 1st drank a bunch of water

Staying in touch with my girls- Amy and Jen!!!  Knowing that they are going through the same things really helps and we share lots of good tips.  Amy got me on Nike Run and Fitness Pal

Getting more into getting my mile time down

Asking to see all my topless pictures at my doctor's appointment.  I wanted to see me with my real breasts.  Not sure why- but I was surprised at how much better my posture looked now compared to then.  I could see I'm in better shape.  I thought I would cry, but just found it interesting to see all the stages- Real Breasts, Breast Expander in place, Implant, Implant after radiation (YIKES), and now.  Life is going pretty darn good and there was nothing to cry about just more motivation to keep going.

Fitness Pal-(thanks Amy)  I'm going to love as soon as I get the hang of it!!

Having a heart to heart with my Pilates instructor

Spinning
Running

MY hubs asking why I haven't been to the gym
MY mom always cheering me on with cards and just plain asking
Dad too
Lucas- he makes me laugh and puts up with my craziness

Also checking in on my blog makes a difference- I feel like I'm committed- not sure who is looking at this blog, but the thought of failing while others watch....creeps me out...

So I tried some clothes on for a party I have to tomorrow:

Excuse the face...no make-up :)
I love these brown short and peach jacket from H&M

When I was in the city all by myself, I ran in H&M and fell in love with this jacket!!
Not sure about this Lady GaGa tee I wear the crap out of so the next shirt was also an option
.
Maggie wasn't sure about the shoes....I know they don't go with the shirt.
I really love this shirt
Kmart
Wow my pictures got more blurry as the morning went on...
I love this blazer with white shorts
Blazer from Macy's
Shorts from Kmart
Shoes from Payless

This shirt is super cute too from Kmart...what's up with my Kmart obsession- I have no idea!!
Shorts from Kmart
Shoes from Aldo

Oh and my scarf is from the Salvation Army- it's from Italy and it's water repellent - crazy!
YouTube also had great videos on scarves~

So I'm down- even with being away on the weekend and missing Pilates and Zumba.  I get a little nervous when it's more that 1 pound- it just doesn't seem right- BUT I'll take it.

After being at a stand still I went back to some of my old stuff that I tend to forget.......

Water- Drink water before anything when I think I'm hungry!!!!
Prepare my food!!!

I bought small containers that can hold my protein like chicken-
AND
the small side item containers from KFC are perfect for prepping for the week.

These containers are reusable and perfect in size.
I used them to hold my grain of brown rice- 1/2 cup.

So what I did Monday night was purchase a roasted chicken from the store and a bag of brown rice.
I'm trying really hard to like brown rice, but it hasn't been easy.  After doing some research I read about boiling it in broth so I did that and I think it's helping me to enjoy the rice.  Eventually I'm hoping to not have to add the broth!

Here's my containers

So here's what my lunch looked like this week
The chicken was good- but not a lot of flavor.
Next time I may try preparing my own chicken with different seasoning blends.
Maybe a chicken with some olives- YUM!
The broccoli is just olive oil and lemon juice with sea salt.
And the brown rice wasn't too bad- I have to admit I put a little dab of butter on them when I heated them.

The rice I used was from Full Circle
Full Circle is Organic- and I find mine at Weis Market
I also love there individual packs of oatmeal.

Also thought more about grabbing a piece of fruit and also was trying to make 1 smoothie a day with some protein powder.  I think I was tending to not eat enough.  So I would make a smoothie to drink on my way home from work and it was delicious and helped me to get stuff done at home in time to get to the gym at a decent time.

Also cut back on dinner......made sure my dinner was healthy......I try to have all my meals around the same size and I eat about 6 mini meals.  Keeps me steady.

Also I carry a bar or beet stick in my bag/purse when I'm caught somewhere and hungry.  I tried the Ostrim Beef and Ostrich Jerky and I really like it.  I bought mine at GNC.

On my cheat days I think about my cheats and if they are going to throw me off too much- Are they really worth it?  Try to also watch for too much salt or sugar- Oh and white bread and pasta.  I do better planning for 1 cheat MEAL a week not a whole day.

Another thing I have to remember when trying to stay on track and get to the gym- like what I'm wearing.  There are many places to find cute things.  TJMaxx is probably my favorite.  I also love Walmart's athletic Danskin bras.  Even Forever21 has some athletic items that look fun.

Forever21

These just look like they would make your butt look good!

Also I like Lucy.com

and LuLulemon- but that's a treat!

I'm hoping to treat myself to a LuLulemon tank for my bday!

Keep going girl!!!!

Eggsellent Weekend

My new favorite Saturday morning breakfast!
Tea
Oatmeal with Blueberries
and a
Hard Boiled Egg

Preparing for the week of trying really hard to get my food stuff in order as in EAT more protein.
There is a lot of planning involved in eating right while working full time and getting to the
gym as much as possible.

I boiled a bunch of eggs for the week.
My gym stuff is going great- but I'm struggling with the food stuff.
Although I am eating MUCH better it needs to be tweaked as my weekly weight loss is getting less and less.
Brown eggs are so pretty....I would love a pair of shoes/boots in any one of these brown egg colors!

And speaking of eggs I got to try a new recipe
Egg Scramble in a Coffee Mug
YUM
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp Milk
2 Tbsp Cheddar Cheese
Cooking Spray
S&P
12 oz. Mug

spray your mug with cooking spray
crack the eggs add the milk and scramble

put in the microwave for 45 seconds and then keep going until your eggs are done
i had to mic for 30 more seconds

add your salt, pepper and cheese

there you have it
breakfast in a coffee mug ready eat

Here's an update on my weight tracking with my friends at the gym

Also my mom sent me a nice little card which I hung on the frig next to another motivation picture.

Well we are off to Taughannock Falls!

Today was not good at the start- couldn't do my workout :(

So I instead made healthy snacks for our trip and ate a good breakfast!

Lost 2lbs this week- As they suggested at Self- I did the meal plans and exercise plans to lose approximately 2lbs and I did.

Groceries are slowly going away and I'm not felling too bad about that huge bill last weekend.

I better make sure to work hard on hike up the falls and then do my workout tonight????????????? Yikes I'm bad at that but will try.

It's very important to eat right when exercising. Yesterday I did o.k. with eating, but I didn't get in a good amount of protein, veggies, or fruit and I felt it this morning.

Eating Mindfully- Turns out I'm a CHRONIC DIETER!

This is the one of my favorite parts of my father-in-laws old truck!

I attended a Spring Eating class with Jackie-
Jackie is a Holistic Health Counselor who works with individuals to create a more balanced life. She is a National Health Counselor who specializes in women experiencing digestive issues, and emotional eating habits. She works with clients in a 6 month program designed to address not only the foods you eat but your lifestyle choices as well. No diet works for everyone, and with this in mind she will give you a Personalized program that will improve your health and happiness. Together we will explore concerns specific to you and your body, and discover tools you will need for a life time of mind/body balance.
Jackie introduced us to Ayurveda.
http://www.answers.com/topic/ayurveda#Practices

Did you know?

Certain foods cool the us, while some foods warm us. Like in the winter a good beef stew appeals to us and in the summer we crave salads and fruits. The animals around us do this, but us humans have gotten to the point where we can eat almost anything at any time. We didn't start out that way; we used to eat what was in season. That's when we used to eat to fuel our body, not because we were stressed or depressed. Now we eat for celebrations as well as stress, sadness, depression and so on.
Jackie gave us a quiz to get an idea of what Dosha we are and then explained how that influences what we should eat. Here is Jackie's website:http://www.jackieonysko.com/

I realize the mind has a lot to do with the functioning of the body. Maybe 12 years ago I had a manicurist who had cancer. She spoke to me a lot about how she dealt with her cancer using her mind and prayer. She also had strong beliefs concerning doctors and how you need to be completely happy with your doctor and settle for nothing less. I learned a lot from her. She told me a story about going into surgery one time. As always her doctor would pray with her before surgery and then she would ask her doctor if there was anything she could for him during the surgery. The doctor proceeded to tell her exactly where he would be working and that the least amount of blood gathering there the better. So Toni did her meditating and visualizing. After the surgery Toni's doctor said to her, "I don't know how you did it but there was only enough blood to fill a thimble." Toni eventually lost her battle, but I think she taught a couple doctors a few things.

Thinking of all this stuff reminds me how much I love Bernie Siegel!
Check him out- If you are battling sickness he is a great inspirational resource.
Bernie Siegel MD
All this stuff ended up playing a huge part in my next book choice:
Mindfully Eating- This book is good so far. I could do without the Buddha stuff, but it is really an interesting book.
WOW it even has an exercise to practice Eating Mindfully. So much opens your eyes to our MAJOR EATING ISSUES.
I also figure my issue classifies me as a CHRONIC DIETER! BIG SURPRISE

This is a book I do make notes in! I definitely have food issues.

Weight Watcher update!

I am up 2lbs from when I started. Up Down Up Down. YIKES

I am going for blood work tomorrow. Testing for Celiac Disease, Thyroid, and hormones.

If nothing comes out of this I will proceed with getting a diagnosis for IBS from a specialist. I do not want to continue on my medication. I still feel the pain, but I can live with it. I just don't want to forget that there is something wrong with me. The medication is only treating my symptoms and I want to fix what is wrong.

Rob finally said it out loud- "Sometimes you do look like you are pregnant"
YIKES
It is nice to be able to talk about it. I'd rather him have a conversation, than just smooth things over.

So I finally said this out loud- "I will have to exercise everyday for the rest of my life" Ewww

My mom has agreed to go to the Y with me. We had our 1st appointment to learn the equipment! It was good.
Here is my father-in-law's baby

Our weekend was relaxing and fun. The FIREHOUSE had a chicken BBQ and car/truck show. Yummmmm

Lucas has me take pictures of things like this
