A couple crafts and something I love right now!

I made these snowman ornaments when my nephews and niece came over for a sleep over.  This craft was SUPER SIMPLE and there was no gluing!

For my friends like my Pilates instructor I had wanted to make pillow spray.  But when I got sick it was canceled till next year.  It's another SUPER SIMPLE craft.

I guess I'll test out the one that I did make.

All you need is water, alcohol and oil scent of your choice.

Last for New Year's Eve I wanted a sparkle barrette - I found this barrette at Target and did a little hot gluing....

I made this necklace for my mom

I originally found this vintage pendant and fell in love with it- so I bought it and created my own beaded necklaces for it.  I counted out the blue beads in the small necklace so that they were in 12s, 13s, and 24s divided by a small gold bead- just a couple of very special numbers.

 

and onto a couple of lip items I'm digging right now~

In the winter my normal chap sticks aren't cutting it so I found this at Bath and Body Works and it's great!

They also have a night time one I use before bed!

And no matter how chapped my lips get I still wanna wear lipstick and these are awesome..
Revlon Colorburst LipButter- they are super moisturizing and have great color payoff.  If you want an everyday color that makes your teeth look nice and white you should try #001 Pink Truffle- it's great and would probably look good on anyone.  I know in the picture it looks dark, but it a great pinky/brown color.
You can find these lipsticks at any drugstore- but they are cheapest at Walmart or Target.

Last nights dinner- yummy!

So I've been totally slacking with working out- at least I haven't been just sitting around - I really have been trying to get our home organized and ready for the holiday. 

 But now it's back to my usual attire- workout clothes.  I'm lucky I can wear my workout clothes to work.  Since losing some weight I really enjoy wearing clothes clothes!!!  It's just not as efficient to do that.

So this morning I did try to spice it us a little 

I threw an infinity scarf on.  I do love this scarf and I have a couple.  I like them because they are super light which is good for me because of getting hot and cold.  I found these at Rue21 for like 7 or 8 bucks.  They are perfect when you want a scarf to throw on before you head to the gym and OK for after when you may be heated up.

I think I've organized everything I wanted except under the sink so now I'm on to "Special Forces" and getting ready to do a couple of crafts.

Special Forces: These are organizing/purging areas of my life that call for grit and determination and special forces to know what to keep and what to purge.  This battle will also take time.

Every year I try to buy one special gift that Lucas didn't ask for.....but it would be something special that he could always have.  As he has gotten older it is much more of a challenge.

Well it's my 1st blood test today!

This is how they are going to monitor me- no scans- a blood test.  They will check tumor markers.  I hope to get results Friday!

I'm excited and a bit nervous.  In my heart I feel like I'm going to be OK and the test will be good.  I struggled with prayer and it's amazing how many signs I got from above to continue praying.  I have a friend from Healing Mass who told me about a place I may want to go to pray.  My very good friend Barbara continues to help me along and she definitely makes me feel good and brings such strong faith to me.  I know these people are working the BIG GUY - I know it and believe it in my heart. 

I don't know what it is about this Christmas, but I often just want to cry.  At dinner with Rob I just started crying and couldn't think why.  I worry a lot that this Christmas has to be good because who knows what's around the corner.  I feel sad Lucas is growing up, my parent's and Rob's are getting older.  It's hard to explain- and Rob even said - Gee Danielle last year around this time we didn't even know if you would be around!  WHAT! YIKES!  Did he just really say that?- Oh no     He's right though- how fast I forget.  That's part of the problem- you would think I would be SO over the top happy, but I'm so scared.  I'm a little stuck- I want to do Christmas stuff, but certain things I can't.  I'm having a hard time shopping for Rob and Lucas.  It actually feels sad. 

I read somewhere that people in similar circumstances do this- Instead of living life to the fullest and doing all the things I thought I might never get to do - I'm coast along.  This is done subconsciously- because if something isn't that good/fun the loss of it won't hurt so bad.  I know this is my problem and I'm still struggling with it.

I've seen how fast life can go away and feeling it as deep as I did- beat me down a bit.  I no longer can live like there is no tomorrow because I actually felt like I wasn't going to have a tomorrow.  Cancer sucks in that way.  And it's not just about me it's my amazing little boy who I love so much and the thought of not being here for him is very very painful.  BUT I am here and I need to keep telling myself what I learned at Doorways to Healing-

Well a couple of things come to mind- my mother reminded me about Gift Cards!  Gift cards are great to get, but the ones that deduct money when not used is not nice!  Make sure you check your cards to make sure you don't get penalized for not using them within the time given.  My mom informed me that our local mall does take money off if not used within a certain amount of time.  

Last night I was able to make a homemade gift- Salt Scrub and I have to say it is way cheaper to make your own that buy!  There are so many recipes on the Internet- I did a Lavender and Lemon Salt Scrub last night - Next I want to try and make my favorite- Vanilla Sugar Scrub! YUMMY.

You can get your grapeseed, avocado and or sweet almond oil at the health food store along with the sea salt.  I used fine sea salt mixed with a bit of larger sea salt I already had at home.  You can also find the scented oils- like Lavender and Lemon. 3 Ingredients is all you need!  I didn't see any vanilla oil- so I'm still on the search for that.
Micheal's had jars not what I wanted, but they might even work better.
It is the smallest jar in the picture and it holds 2 cups- which seem like the perfect amount!

1/2 Pint jars is what I was looking for.
This homemade gift was SUPER easy and QUICK!
