Where my peeps at?


OK- I love YouTube and I love videos of crazy things like cat's opening drawers to steal hair accessories or birds dancing to music....but I never have the talent to catch anything cool....

The other day though I was in the car with Lucas and just because I was fooling with my phone I took a quick video. It's pretty lame- but it cracks me up and it makes me smile. Lucas is getting older and now when we hang out we laugh a lot.  It's so funny when your kid "gets" the same funny things you do. My girlfriend told me about this with her son and I thought how fun AND now it happens to us. We sometimes just look at each other and know the other person is seeing the same thing and thinking the same thing.

Oh don't get me wrong he still tells me things like "Mom you're not going in there with that on" or "What's wrong with you"~ He wasn't a huge fan of my scarf....I was wearing it all different ways and so he wasn't digging it. You'll see in the little lame video clip he ends up swatting me..not nice.  I crack up over my mom asking why they are called peeps.
It's totally lame, but it's totally just what goes on parking at Maine's. I don't know why I keep laughing about it.

Onto Weigh-in


Wowza.....for once I hit a teen!!!!! and it wasn't named Luki....I had to say it.

I'm not sure how I managed this, because last week I was still at 122.0.  I do know this past couple of weeks I struggled - wanting to eat all day and missing exercise classes- drinking wine- and I know there is something else bad I just can't think of it.  OH forgot to take my Tamoxifen for 6 days- YIKES.  I hope that's not why I lost.  I did however pull it together this week after hooking back up with my LOVE of YouTube ladies who eat yummy food and post their favorite items and tips!!!!  When I get big I wanna be a You tube star!!!  I learn SO much.  I also love the make-up tips- these girls buy lots of make-up and report back on what's good- LOVE that!!!  I should post all my favorite YouTube Subscriptions.

Somethings that I think helped me big time this week:

Taking a 3 hour class 2 nights a week - kept me from overeating dinner and eating late.  Oh and the class has nothing to do with fitness.

Drinking lots of water- I'm obsessed with a terrible TV show were the woman is always drinking a drink and it makes me want to drink!!  I've come to love the plastic cups that come with a straw and gripper- I'm getting addicted!  When I was hungry I 1st drank a bunch of water

Staying in touch with my girls- Amy and Jen!!!  Knowing that they are going through the same things really helps and we share lots of good tips.  Amy got me on Nike Run and Fitness Pal

Getting more into getting my mile time down

Asking to see all my topless pictures at my doctor's appointment.  I wanted to see me with my real breasts.  Not sure why- but I was surprised at how much better my posture looked now compared to then.  I could see I'm in better shape.  I thought I would cry, but just found it interesting to see all the stages- Real Breasts, Breast Expander in place, Implant, Implant after radiation (YIKES), and now.  Life is going pretty darn good and there was nothing to cry about just more motivation to keep going.

Fitness Pal-(thanks Amy)  I'm going to love as soon as I get the hang of it!!

Grey and White

I just love these two colors together

I seen this outfit on Pinterest and I just loved it and hoped one day I would be able to put something similar together~





It's just so darn pretty together.

Well my girlfriend gave me a few tops she couldn't wear and one of them was grey- yeah:

So then when my girlfriends invited me to lunch I was SO excited
to wear my new top with my white shorts!


Try some grey and white......summer is perfect for it!   And turquiose is such a nice accent.....I may have to see what turquiose I have laying around - may even whip up a necklace on my own!

Well I'm at a stand still and rising on my weight loss

It was great getting away with Rob a couple of weekends ago~


 And my very little garden managed to get me one of these~

I am starting  a new challenge at the gym with a friend so I'm hoping that helps with my weight loss.

I have Pilates today and I'm just not into it lately......not sure why.  I was without my normal instructor for about 4 weeks and I'm out of it.  She is back, but can't seem to get my groove going.  I'm hoping today is better.  I'm on a classic reformer and it's a bit to get used to and some of it I just don't like- but another person in my class as decided to get there early and take the machine I'm usually on.  Different machines have different struggles so I guess I'll just adjust.  Today I may go early- but I'll probably still pick the classic machine because it is a challenge.  I may try and change one of my classes to a mat class- I'm at a stand still.

Sometimes...well I always get bored with things so that may be the problem.  I have to say when I want to revive myself I often turn to YouTube and check out what other people are doing and Sibling Swag really had me laughing and wondering about the ab belt they wear....and they even threw in some butt exercises.  I enjoyed this because Pilates can be very strict and all business.  These 2 crack me up.

Problems

 Struggles~Challenges

Life can be so hard sometimes......All of us run into some really big problems and just the thought of having to deal with it makes us not want to even think about it.

Right now I'm dealing with heartbreak over a church matter.
At times it's just so much hurt I don't want to deal.

I know a few girls going through some REAL challenges!!
Alcoholism
Relationship Problems
Cancer
Anorexia
Depression
Abusive People in their life
Church Issues

Since I've been sick I seem to feel things a bit deeper.  The one day I was shopping at a store and I seen a girl standing in front of the workout equipment and it was painful to just look at her.  She was SO SO skinny.  I wanted to just grab her and hug her and say something...anything.  Lucas could see me looking at her and he too could see she was way too skinny.  I said to him- that poor girl- I feel like I should talk to her.......Lucas was like "NO MOM".  He's probably right.  I mean I have no idea what she is going through and what advice could I possibly give her.  Sometimes we get advice from people who really have no experience or knowledge of your problems yet they give advice......I try to never speak on something I haven't yet experienced myself.  SO what do you do?  Well I guess I feel comfortable telling people that I feel bad and that I don't understand, but I do CARE for them.  I felt a love for that girl for what reason I have no idea why.  I don't think I felt sorry for her- because she was a great girl, but I would hate to see her die or suffer.  I guess it's what you call compassion.  As I was walking around the store thinking about why I care so much for her I heard this, "Miss- I'm not on the clock right now, but is there anything I can help you with?"  and there she stood not on the clock ready to help ME!  What a sweet thing to do.  I had a little conversation with her just about Father's day, but I was thankful for her kindness.  I still think about her- I guess praying for her is what I should do.   It's hard for me to not try and do more for her, because I just love people and I could feel she is a good soul.

So if I had to give advice to anyone it would be this:

When I have a problem I go through this:
1. Get yourself physically ready for change (it's a natural flow that problems will lead to change before going away)- Eat Good, Exercise, Get Rest.

2. Pray

3. Look around- who around you has been there?  Get help from truthful, nonjudgmental, loving people.

4. Research- knowledge even on the tough stuff is all good.  If you need help with that- search out a good researcher who will not pass judgement.

5. Act......after all of the above a solution should present itself.  And when you act - Act Honestly and with as much Love as possible.

6. And when it's hard and you find it to hard to follow through- Repeat 1 and 2 and hang with people that help and love you.

All through out this process you should also be able to go to your family, but sometimes you may need to figure out your ACT before you do that.  I tend to go to my family, but I know some people don't have that option.

So in the end I'm not really trying to give advice, except to maybe myself!  I tend to get wrapped up in a problem and forget about the little process that has helped me before in times of dilemma.

I wish none of us had to go through this stuff!  But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and in the end even death is just another change to something better.
